What is a hint?
A hint is simply a suggestion...
just an idea of what you might like.
It's not a wish or a pin or a fantasy.
It's just a hint!
There are two diffeent types of hints on Hintme.
- User Hints
- Hintmall Hints
User Hints
Hintme is full of user hints hinted by users just like you.
Hints can come from pretty much anywhere.
Users can save hints by:
- Using the Hintme bookmarklet when you find something to hint
- Clicking a Hintme button you find on Hintme or in the Hintmall
- Clicking a Hintme button you find on another website
Users get to choose:
- Who sees their hint
- The hint's details
- Just how much they want the hint
- Just a hint - I love it - I Gotta Have It!
Hintmall Hints
Mall hints live in the Hintmall which is filled with hints shared by Hintme stores.
Users get to follow their favorite stores and can get access to exclusive mall hints.
If a store reduces the price of their hint in the Hintmall, your hint is updated as well.
Hintme Friends
Join your friends on Hintme to discover all their shared hints.
Invite your friends via email, on social media or discover your friends already on Hintme.
Hintme Events
Add your special events so your friends will know when to peek at your hint list.
Hintme will remind you when a friend's event is coming up so you'll know in advance when to peek at theirs.
Hintme Profiles
Your specific profile details can only be seen by your friends.
Share a hint about yourself so your friends can guess what you might really want.

Desktop Browser Instructions
On your desktop computer, simply drag and drop this button into your browser's bookmark bar.
Hintme!When you find a hint while browsing simply click the Hintme! bookmark in your bookmark bar.
Mobile & Tablet Instructions
Safari mobile
- Press and hold the text in the box below and choose "Select All" followed by "Copy" and click "Done".
- Click on your browser's share button.
- Select "Bookmark" to create a new bookmark and save it to your "Favorites" list.
- Now click the bookmarks button in your browser, select "Favorites" then "Edit".
- Select your newly created bookmark titled "Hintme! + Save to my hint list."
- Click the "x" to clear out the address, press and hold the address box, select "Paste" and then "Done".
Now when you find something to hint, simply click on your address bar and select the bookmark titled "Hintme! + Save to my hint list.".
The Hintbox will open with your hint loaded where you can edit details and save your hint to your Hintlist. To close out the Hintbox simply refresh the page or click the back button.
Chrome mobile

- Click "Manage" and select your "Hintme! + Save to my hint list." bookmark.

- Click "Save" and close out of your bookmarks page.
Now when you find something to hint, simply click on your address bar and select the bookmark titled "Hintme! + Save to my hint list.".
